Mothers on the Margins
Indigenous women, or those from other cultural minorities, are more likely to die or face complications related to pregnancy. Health Poverty Action’s new Mothers on the Margins campaign is calling for action to change this – and working in partnership with indigenous communities themselves, innovative solutions can be found.
Write to your MP and urge them to take action for indigenous mothers.
You can also pledge your support for the campaign, read our new report, and find out more.
Robin Hood Tax campaign
A tiny tax on international bankers' transactions could generate hundreds of billions of pounds to tackle global poverty, climate change, and social needs in the UK as well.
We need your support to make this a reality. You can learn more about the campaign and contact the Treasury to let them know the Robin Hood Tax is a great way to raise money to protect spending at home and abroad.
Keep your promises
The new coaliton Government must keep their promises on poverty and health.
Find out more about their commitments on international development. You can also take action and write to your MP and ask them what they are doing to help eradicate global poverty and ill health. Find your MP's details here.
"We can really do something to change the world. The time has come to stop talking and start taking action. If everyone who wants to see an end to poverty, hunger and suffering speaks out then the noise will be deafening. Politicians will have to listen.”
